The Trinity Blacklands Urban Forestry Council is an organization formed to address the increasing urban forestry needs for the eight county region surrounding Dallas, Texas.

Our mission is to promote the protection and development of urban forest resources. We execute our mission by communicating important issues, needs and information about urban forest resources to our local officials, civic leaders and media.

Who is the Best in Texas?

Texas Tree Climbing Competition 2010

Bob Woodruff Park, Plano, TX
Friday May 21st - Saturday 22nd

Winner of this year's competition will represent the Texas Chapter in the International competition in Lisle, IL on July 24th-25th. This is the best event of the year for a working climber to attend if you want to improve your skills.

Pre-Competition Workshop
Thursday May 20th
8:30am - 4:30pm

Advanced Tree Climbing Demonstration by Guy LeBlanc. An outdoor demonstration of modern climbing, energy saving and aerial rescue techniques for the working climber. Registration will open Wednesday Feb 17th.

A Spanish language workshop covering tree care with indoor class and outdoor demonstrations. Learn about tree care, safety, chainsaws, climbing and pruning. Speakers include Eduardo Medina from Davey Tree, Mark Duff of the Texas Forest Service and Armando Cortez from the City of San Antonio.
